Creative continuity through the pace of awards season.

The ambition
Awards campaigns bring together films and series with very different identities, audiences and stories. Netflix needed creative support that could respond to that variety while maintaining the standards of a global entertainment brand.
Our work with the Netflix Awards team began in 2018. The brief covered online and offline materials for activity around the Oscars, BAFTAs and other industry events, communicating with voters, industry professionals and press audiences.

A recognisable identity for every title
Each production has its own visual language. The creative for a drama, a comedy or an animated film should reflect its character while remaining part of Netflix’s wider campaign environment.
We work from the title’s imagery, tone and campaign brief to develop assets that feel connected. A screening invitation, a digital banner and a printed programme can perform different tasks while still telling the same story.
This title-by-title approach gives campaigns flexibility. It allows the materials to respond to their particular audience and occasion without losing the consistency required across a busy awards calendar.

Connecting digital and physical communications
Digital delivery has included web banners, animated GIFs, online invitations and social creative. Formats and messages are adapted for their intended placement, with layout and legibility considered alongside the artwork.
Offline work includes printed invitations, programmes, signage, backdrops and large-format graphics. Choices of paper, print and finish help carry the atmosphere of a title into the material experience of an event.
The value lies in considering these outputs together. The invitation sets an expectation; the screening environment and supporting pieces then continue it.

Details that belong to the story
Screenings offer opportunities to extend a title’s world beyond the screen. Our work has included branded popcorn boxes, bar menus and other event collateral, developed to fit the creative theme of the production.
We collaborate with Netflix’s internal teams to keep those choices aligned with the brief. The details should support the event and its story, with a consistent treatment from the principal graphics to the smallest printed item.

Built for changing deadlines
Awards activity can change quickly. Screening dates, attendance details and campaign requirements may shift at short notice, leaving little room for a slow handover between idea and delivery.
Close communication, adaptable artwork and clear feedback help us handle those changes. Designs can be revised, reformatted and prepared for print or digital use while maintaining attention to copy, colour, layout and brand requirements.
That operational reliability is part of the creative service. Good ideas only become useful when the right assets reach the right people in time.

A relationship that broadened with trust
The original awards-team engagement developed into support across other Netflix departments, including marketing, PR and communications. Working across those briefs gives us a broader understanding of how a title is presented.
The work has also extended beyond the UK, with assets adapted for different territories and event locations. Localisation means considering the content and practical requirements of a market while preserving the campaign’s visual identity.

What the partnership demonstrates
The strongest evidence is the breadth of the relationship and the range of work delivered: campaign graphics, invitations, physical collateral and screening materials across multiple seasons and teams.
For Amey & Co, this is a clear expression of a creative growth partnership. We build an understanding of the client’s world, carry that knowledge from brief to brief and combine creative judgement with dependable execution. The work supports Netflix’s campaign objectives; the creative remains in service of the films, series and teams behind them.
